It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of our beloved Mary Maudrina Paul, better known as “Maudrie,” age 85, of Fond Cole. She passed away on October 16th, 2023, at the Dominica China Friendship Hospital. She was preceded in death by her brother Albert “Ivon” Lestrade, who resided in London.
She is survived by her four children:Eugenia Maffei, Olivia Ferreira, Albert Hussey, and Clarence Bellot
Daughter-in-law:Ruby Pitas
12 grandchildren:Oyin, Pietro, Francisco “Sekou” Maffei, Anya Maffei-Philbert, Algenia Maffei-Brown, Kitwani, Kafi and, Klyde Ferreira, Kattisia Ferreira- Cornelius, Chinua, Jervon, and Taj Bellot.
21 great grandchildren:Oyanna, Flame- Sophia, Jazelle , Sherlyan, Khai-Khibah, K’Asia- Shanice, K’Aya, Kahzi, Kenadee, Journey, Sarai, Kendrick, Saeed, Ajani, Jade, Jonah, St Leo, K’moi, Khafil, Sekuan, Gilanni,
Grandsons-in-law:Danian Philbert, Steven Brown and Owen Leon.
Granddaughters in-law: Carla and Giolaivys Maffei

Viewing and funeral service to take place on Monday, November 6th, from 2 pm at the St Alphonsus Catholic Church followed by interment at the Roseau Catholic cemetery.
