We announce the death of Maria Toussaint better known as “Ma Coolee” aged 91 of Mabouché who resided at Geneva House, Grand Bay. She died on the 13th of September 2024 at the Dominica China Friendship Hospital.
She left to Mourn:
6 Children: Lolita, Stanilia, Rosamund, Francisca, Orge and Hubert Leatham
2 Sisters: Crescensia and Jeanne Toussaint
1 Brother: Phillip Toussaint
Grand Children: Nella & Chad Jules, Bertisha Desiree, Christina & Christy Sophie, Judet
Pastel, Curtis Jno Baptiste, Joel & Adelf Tavernier, Edmund, Lincoln, Orge Jnr., Bridgette,
Chantal and Whitney Leatham
Great Grand Children: Amelia Jules, Elluanie, Ernick, Mark Sayann, Chryslande, Emrys, Emerya, Linora, Cassandra, Eloina, Heloise, Charly, Ashanty and Amelia Joseph
Nieces and nephews including: Claudia, Lizzy, Emmanuelina, Noella, Dailah, Margaret, Hermine, Hethlyn, Desmond, Kurt, Paul, Paulette, Shermaine, Augustina, Miss B, Tony, Annie and James.

The body of the late Maria Toussaint better known as “Ma Coolee” will be transported from North Eastern Funeral Home to the Grand Bay Roman Catholic Church Sacred Space on Wednesday 2nd October 2024. Viewing begins at 1:30pm, followed by funeral mass at 2pm Interment will take place at the Grand Bay Roman Catholic Cemetery.
