It is with much sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Mr. Dennis Raymond Polydore, 90 years of Roseau, who passed away at the Concordia Hospital, Winnipeg, Canada on October 23rd, 2023.
He will be lovingly remembered by:
His wife: Theresa Lloyd Polydore
Children: Addison in the US, Ann Cochrane and Mervin in Dominica, Deborah Anselm in Antigua, and Brian in Canada.
He was predeceased by his daughter Patricia Shillingford and sister Violet Joseph
Brothers: Algernon & McDonald Polydore in England, Fabian Polydore in Dominica
Sisters – Vania Hackett in St Thomas, Janet and Margaret Polydore in the US
Brother-in-law: Carlton Hackett
Son-in-law: Cummings ‘Chico’ Shillingford
Grand children: 11 including, Ann-Marie, Carla, Jehan, and Juan Shillingford
Great Grand Children: 7
Grand son-in-law: Siaka
Stepchildren: Dave Lloyd, Kelly-Ann Lazare, Shana Stevens, and Amy Lloyd
Many nieces and nephews, including Al Benoit
Many close friends including Digna and Cecil Pelltier, Drin Jones, Emmanuel & Eula Sylvester, Elaine Owens, Jane Eugene, Art & Lydia Dean, Emaline Jackson, Veronica Blanchette, Dennis Horsford, friends from the Guyanese and Dominican Associations in Winnipeg, many other friends and relatives in Dominica and Canada too numerous to mention.
The body of the late Dennis Raymond Polydore will be viewed from 1:00 pm and the funeral service begins at 2:00pm on November 10th, 2023 at the Thompson “In the Park” funeral home, 1291 McGillvray Blvd Winnipeg, Canada.
