With profound sadness, we announce the death of 70 years old, Mr. Francis Rovland Powell better known as POWW of Providence, Paix-Bouche. He passed away on January 18th, 2025 at the Reginald Fitzgerald Armour Hospital in Portsmouth.
He was the son of the late Maria Remy.
He left to mourn:
His daughters: Era and Annie in France and Jizelle in St. Martin.
Sisters: Joan Remy-Francois and Eudora in St. Maarten; Melanie, Sylvia, Mary, Gloria and Myrtle Powell.
Brothers: Jonah Remy and Henderson Francois in St. Maarten; Richardson St. Louis; Maximea and Joseph Powell.
Brother-in-law: Martin Francois
Sister-in-law: Patricia Remy in St. Maarten
Nieces: Joycelyn, Shanika, Sherma and Candy in St. Maarten; Heidi in Nevis; Esther in Canada; Vicky in Holland; Marlyn, Vandel
Nephews: Isaac, Jarvis, Nathan, Michael, Nelson in St. Maarten; Sheldon in England; Ashon and Ian in Holland and Lincoln.
Cousins: Morella and Vernel, Margerly and family, Rosemound and Anthony Remy; children of Antionette Theodore, children of Magdalene Augustine including Ruthline LeBlanc and family; the children of the late George Remy.
Special mention should be made of: Kerry, Augustina, Adele, Hon. Lakeiya Joseph, Paix-Bouche Yes we care team, residents of Providence, Paix-Bouche and Portsmouth. Many other friends and relative here and abroad names too numerous to mention.
The funeral service of Francis Rovland Powell will be held on Wednesday 29th January 2025 at the Beacon of Life and Hope Christian Fellowship in Paix-Bouche.

Funeral service at 2pm.
Interment at the Paix-Bouche Public Cemetery.
