The Dominica Council On Ageing Inc. (DCOA) would like to register its disgust and concern as to the manner in which the Older Persons/ Seniors of this nation are being treated in the public sphere. This is even more relevant in light of the recent mysterious and gruesome loss of 72-year old, Ms. Giselle Michleau of Toucarie.
It is reported that she may have been challenged by some medical condition. We can attest that there are many others in society who suffer from similar disorders. The DCOA would like to see that the public become more aware of such circumstances as these pertain to Older Persons/ Seniors and the less fortunate in our society, and as such, we the public, should always be on the lookout for these unfortunate individuals.
The Dominica Council On Ageing condemns such heinous and gruesome act against our seniors as Ms. Michleau suffered from. The DCOA hopes that no stone will be left unturned in the ensuing investigations and trust that justice will be served for Ms. Micheleau.
The Council extends its profound sympathies to her family and loved ones.
