Young Casimir concluded that this race was one of his hardest, however he plans to come back strong in the future races.Another crowd favorite, Kevon Boyd had some equipment issues early on in the race and was unable to catch up.The other  competitors were Hayden Mills, Levi Baron, Ellison Roudette, and DCA president Ronald Charles who was touted for being one of the few presidents of an organization who is actively involved in the sport. Charles, however, had an incident in the first round and was unable to complete the race. Female cyclist May Ettiene also formed part of the race.

Meanwhile, president of the Dominica Olympic Committee(DOC), Billy Doctrove, congratulated the DCA and promised the continued support of the DOC.
