CYEN Dominica Joins “Clean A Mile” Coastal Cleanup in Celebration of World Environment Day and ICC’s 40th Anniversary

The Caribbean Youth Environment Network (CYEN) Dominica is pleased to announce its participation in “Clean A Mile,” a national coastal cleanup organized by the Dominica Solid Waste Management Corporation in celebration of World Environment Day 2025 and the 40th anniversary of the International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) led by Ocean Conservancy.

This meaningful event will take place on Saturday, June 7, 2025, with the cleanup route stretching from Bellhall Beach to Cabrits, aimed at promoting environmental stewardship and addressing coastal pollution. Buses will depart from Roseau at 7:00 AM, and volunteers from all across Dominica are encouraged to take part in this nationwide effort.

CYEN Dominica joins this initiative alongside a network of dedicated partners, including:

●​   Project CETI

●​   Ocean Conservancy

As part of the global International Coastal Cleanup, now in its 40th year, this event mobilizes millions of volunteers worldwide to remove harmful marine debris, raise awareness, and inspire environmental responsibility. CYEN Dominica is proud to contribute to this global movement and reinforce the importance of youth-led environmental action.
