Christinna Paul represents Dominica at the 13th UNESCO Youth Forum

Congratulations Christianna Paul of Dominica!

Christianna Paul, resident of Sylvania with roots in Paix Bouche and the co-founder of WePlanet Inc., is currently in Paris to represent Dominica at the 13th UNESCO Youth Forum taking place from the 13-15 Nov. 2023.

The forum’s theme is: ‘the social impact of climate change and the need to achieve an equitable climate transition’. ‘The UNESCO Youth Forum provides youth with a space to engage in discussion and debate, and to share their recommendations and solutions with Member States during UNESCO’s General Conference’

Since August 2023, Ms. Paul has actively participated in virtual discussions with youth from various parts of the world, including the Latin America and the Caribbean working group. These discussions were in preparation for the upcoming in-person activities and dialogues at the forum. She states “Our primary responsibility is to formulate recommendations that will be included in the forum’s final conclusions. Subsequently, these conclusions will be presented at the UNESCO General Conference taking place concurrently. So far Ms. Paul has had the opportunity to contribute from a SIDS (Small Island Developing State) perspective on vital topics such as climate action, youth participation, environmental education, loss and damage, and climate resilience.
