Caribbean beverage company Flamboyant Water has secured a $1.3 million strategic investment through a joint venture with U.S. ready-to-drink cocktail producer Top Dog Cocktails, positioning the St. Croix-based company for significant expansion throughout the Caribbean and international markets.
The investment represents Flamboyant’s first external capital raise since its founding by Modern Caribbean LLC (MOCA) in 2024 and will accelerate the company’s vision of building a globally recognized beverage brand inspired by the flavors, culture, and lifestyle of the Caribbean.
Headquartered in the U.S. Virgin Islands, Flamboyant plans to expand distribution across the Caribbean while introducing new premium beverage offerings developed specifically for regional consumers and visitors. Initial target markets include the U.S. Virgin Islands, Dominica, the Dominican Republic, Anguilla, St. Barths, St. Kitts & Nevis, Sint Maarten, Saint Martin, Cabo Verde, and other Caribbean destinations.
Building on the success of its flagship Flamboyant Hibiscus Sparkling Water, the company will introduce Flamboyant Reserve, a premium line of Caribbean-inspired rum-based ready-to-drink beverages. The inaugural collection will feature four flavors inspired by the region: Hummingbird, Island Garden, Island Spice, and Island Citrus.
The beverages are expected to contain fewer than 90 calories per can with 4.5% alcohol by volume and are scheduled to launch in Fall 2026 across select Caribbean markets, Florida, and Pennsylvania.
“The Caribbean already welcomes more than 30 million visitors every year,” said Michael Pemberton, founder of Flamboyant Water and Managing Partner of Modern Caribbean LLC. “Our strategy is simple: allow millions of travelers to discover Caribbean-inspired products at their point of experience and continue seeking out those products after they return home. As we expand distribution, we are equally focused on building manufacturing infrastructure in the region that enables Caribbean brands to create, produce, and export world-class products to consumers around the world.”
In parallel with its commercial expansion, Flamboyant Water is actively evaluating manufacturing opportunities in the Caribbean to support long-term regional production and export growth. The company is currently engaged in discussions with the Government of Dominica, Invest Dominica Authority (IDA), and the Dominica Water and Sewerage Company (DOWASCO) regarding the potential development of a beverage manufacturing and export facility that would support bottled water, premium beverages, private-label production, and regional distribution throughout the Caribbean.
The partnership brings together Flamboyant’s expanding Caribbean distribution strategy with Top Dog Cocktails’ product development and commercialization expertise.
“Flamboyant represents an exciting opportunity to help build a globally scalable consumer brand inspired by Caribbean culture,” said Ken Smukler, founder of Top Dog Cocktails. “We believe the Caribbean’s tourism economy and growing consumer market create tremendous long-term potential across multiple beverage categories.”
The companies expect to begin rolling out the Flamboyant Reserve portfolio in Fall 2026 while continuing to pursue new hospitality, tourism, retail, and distribution partnerships throughout the Caribbean.

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
