Our Client, Lifetime Co-operative Credit Union (formerly the BS&T Employees’ Co-operative Credit Union), was established on August 31, 1989. With a reputation built on its core values of Integrity, Trust, Respect,
Accountability and Quality, the Credit Union was re-branded in February 2016 and continues to have a vision of
prosperity for all of its members.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Credit Union is seeking to recruit an experienced professional from the financial services sector as its Operations Manager.
THE ROLE
The Operation Manager will be responsible for:
• Leading, engaging and empowering a talented cross functional team towards the attainment of the
organisation’s strategic objectives.
• Critically examining the processes of the Credit Union, researching and recommending technological and
other improvements to enhance the operations of the Credit Union.
• Overseeing the attainment of high levels of customer and member relations service to build brand loyalty
and grow market share.
• Making recommendations regarding conceptualisation and development of products and services.
• Setting targets, monitoring progress and making recommendations for change based on research and
knowledge of the market.
• Managing the budgets of the departments under his/her sphere of control ensuring maximum return on
spend.
• Managing the organisation in compliance with policies and rules as outlined by the Board of Directors
and other regulators.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field with a minimum of 5 years’ experience
in a management role or at least ten years’ progressive management experience within the financial
services sector.
• Emotionally intelligent with strong communication (oral and written), interpersonal and influencing
skills to engage and build relationships.
• Proven track record of leading organisational success and building teams.
• Sound knowledge and appreciation of financial regulations.
• The ability to understand and interpret financial data in order to make informed decisions.
• Demonstrated experience in critical decision making.
