Educators in Dominica are mourning the passing  of Teacher Valens O’Brien,who lost his battle with cancer.

O’Brien began his career at the Scottshead Primary School. He then moved on to teach Woodwork and Technical Drawing at the Dominica Grammar School, the Goodwill Secondary School and the Pierre Charles Secondary School.

Valence died in Guadeloupe where he was undergoing treatment.

O’Brien is remembered as a knowledgeable and dedicated teacher.
