Antigua Tourism Authority Hosts Promotional Cocktail in Dominica

The Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority hosted an elegant cocktail event at Villa Copthall to promote the twin-island nation and share key updates on its tourism offerings. The gathering aimed to strengthen regional ties and encourage increased participation in Antigua and Barbuda’s dynamic calendar of events for 2025.

During the event, the team unveiled exciting developments in the destination’s tourism and real estate sectors, with a special emphasis on the upcoming Caribbean Travel Marketplace, the premier B2B tourism event in the region, scheduled for May 18–22, 2025.

Also highlighted were major upcoming events including:

Antigua Sailing Week (April 27 – May 2)

Antigua and Barbuda Culinary Month (May)

Antigua Carnival (July 25 – August 5)

Antigua and Barbuda Art Week (November 26 – December 2)

The event saw notable attendance from both Antiguan and Dominican tourism stakeholders. From Antigua and Barbuda, key figures included Patrice Simon, Executive Director of the Antigua and Barbuda Hotels and Tourism Association; Sanovnik Destang, President of the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association; Vanessa Ledesma, CEO of the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association; and Collin Piper representing Sunrise.

Dominican representation included members of the Dominica Hotel and Tourism Association (DHTA), representatives from Fort Young Hotel and Coulibri Ridge, media partners, and other stakeholders.

Organizers deemed the event a resounding success and expressed optimism that many Dominicans will travel to experience Antigua and Barbuda – affectionately known as “the land of 365 beaches.”
