It was an emotional time as two young men graduated from the Achievement Learning Center. Cameron Augustine, who received the Student of the Year Award and Shannick Mark, who received the Heroism Award were jubilant as they made their way to the front to begin their ceremony.
The students thanked their director, Ms.Beverly Leblanc, Principal, Ms. Celaire, class teacher, Mr. Benjamin, former class teachers and the entire staff for the hard work done in getting them to achieve.
Pharmacist, health educator and prominent talk show host, Carlton Languedoc, delivered the featured address. He encouraged the students on the theme, ‘If you believe you can achieve it’.
ALC’s motto, ‘Turning your Potential into Possibilities’ is exemplified in these two young men who overcame learning challenges and were able to sit the CCSLC examination.
One of the parents spoke about his fervent desire to have his son read and could not hold back the emotion as he sat and listened to his son read his speech infront of the crowd of well-wishers.
The reminded the boys of one of their fellow classmates who is presently working at Jolly’s Pharmacy and said that they too can achieve such success if they desire it.
Congrats to Cameron and Shannick.
