The Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force(CDPF) is conducting investigations into a homicide which occurred in the village of Woodfordhill at about 8:15 pm on Thursday night. The victim who has been identified as 86 year old Bernadine ‘Ma Sweetest’ Nicholas of Grand bay but who resided at Woodfordhill, was found in a pool of blood with multiple stab wounds to her body.

The victim was transported to the Wesley Health Centre where she was examined by a medical doctor and pronounced dead.

The body was then transported to the North Eastern Funeral Home pending a post mortem.

Police Inspector Carbon confirmed that an adult male is in custody and is being questioned in relation to the investigation.
