Chief Environmental Health Officer Says Persons Who Are Home Quarantined Should Not Be Seen In The Public

Chief Environmental Health Officer, Tassie Thomas explained that home quarantine is a serious matter.

In referring to the restrictions of persons who are under home quarantine, she said, “You cannot go into the public. You cannot go shopping, you cannot go to the bar, you cannot go to church, you cannot go anywhere”.

Thomas stressed that she often reminds persons that while they may not see persons looking at them, there are and any violation of the terms of home quarantine will result in the police being sent for the individual.

She said further that home quarantine is no joking business and while persons may venture into their yards, they are not to be found in the public.

They are to stay home and remain there for 14 days.
