Mitchel John of Colihaut has been selected to participate in the One Young World Summit in the United Kingdom from 22-25 October 2019. This summit seeks to encourage peer to peer learning, mentorship by leading figures in various sectors who pursue social reform and change; and provide the opportunity for global networking among young social leaders.
Four other entrepreneurs from the OECS were selected. They are Amanda Scott of Grenada, Jasmine Duncan of St Lucia, Chad Greaves of Saint Vincent and Dione Brown of St. Kitts. Mitchel John took up an initiative in Agro suede backyard gardening. He uses social media to promote good agricultural practices. The OECS Social Entrepreneur Summit is the OECS Commission’s commitment to drive Youth development in the region.
