A police operation which took place in Coulibistrie on February 22, 2019, saw the arrest of eight Venezuelan nationals.

According to Public Relations Officer of the Dominica Police Force, Inspector Simon Edwards, one while and green Open Keel vessel named “MELANY’S”, was intercepted. One male individual was arrested on the vessel and charged with illegal entry. The other seven were found on shore and were also arrested and charged for illegal entry.
