Seven (7) year old Adaiah Sanford has published her first book entitled, ‘A Beginner’s Guide to the Kalinago Language’.
Adaiah was born and raised in the Kalinago Territory.
While in kindergarten, Adaiah would use construction paper to create books with her art. She took a keen interest in the kalinago Language at the tender age of 4 and and at the age of five, she began doing short videos on social media.
Adaiah says that she hopes her book will motivate other indigenous people to revive the language.
