The Ministry of Health held its press briefing last evening and revealed that it has been six weeks the last reported positive case in Dominica.Further, all but 1 of the 16 positive cases have recovered.
The final case is in isolation and there are 31 persons in quarantine including returned cruise ship crew.
The random community testing is underway using Rapid testing and/or symptom observation. If either shows positive results, the person is tested again using the PCR method. If the PCR test is positive the person is isolated in Portsmouth and contacts are traced.
There were no further reviews to COVID-19 measures which means that All Measures reported from the Saturday 9, briefing remain in effect. Such measures including the river and sea bathing limitations, no alcohol use in the public and total lockdown only on Sundays.
The Ministry is calling on the public to remain vigilant and to continue practicing good hygiene measures as well as social distancing.
