Dominica will host the 2019 CBN/Winlott Windward Island School Games from July 28, 2019 to August 4, 2019.
As part of preparations, a Preparatory Meeting will be held on May 23, 2019 in Dominica. At that meeting, the Sports Division will present Dominica’s plans for the hosting of the games to representatives from the three other Windwards Islands. The meeting will also review the 2018 Games which was held in St. Lucia.
Prior to the meeting a brief Opening Ceremony will be held from 10 am with addresses from Hon. Justina Riviere – Minister for Youth, Sports and Constituency Empowerment. Mrs. Chandler Hyacinth – Permanent Secretary/Education, Mr. Trevor Shillingford – Sports Coordinator and Mr. Titus Francis – Mayor of Portsmouth.
