Three Dominicans Join The Royal St.kitts and Nevis Defence Force

Three Dominicans are among twenty-three (23) recruits who recently completed 20 weeks of intense practical and theoretical training as part of the Basic Military Course 01 of 2020. and are now officers of Alpha Company or the regular corps of the Defence Force. The three Dominicans are Ashlyn Carbon and Candia Anthony of Woodfordhill, and Jamil Wallace of Portsmouth.

The three says that they are extremely happy to represent their country.

Candia Anthony says, “I’m proud to represent my country and all I can say is success comes with hard work and only the strong survive”. Carbon and Wallace both agree that it wasn’t easy but are excited that they made it through.

“It started out tough for me, but I pushed on and made it to the end. We all did! Proud of myself and that I got to represent my country,” says Carbon.

Wallace says, “I am very happy to complete the training and make myself, my family and my country proud. Alot of times I wanted to give up but looking back, I’m really glad I didn’t”.
