The Choiseul-Saltibus Constituency Group of the Saint Lucia Labour Party (SLP) hosted a highly successful and energised Annual General Meeting (AGM) this past Sunday at the La Fargue Community Center. Held under the theme “Sustaining Success Together — Through Discipline, Delivery, and Dignity,” the open session underscored the constituency’s commitment to transparent governance and year-round grassroots engagement.

In fulfillment of a major campaign promise, Hon. Keithson “Kiffo” Charles, Minister for Physical Development and Public Utilities and Parliamentary Representative for Choiseul-Saltibus, presented a comprehensive progress report to his constituents. The address detailed the rapid strides made in local infrastructure, social safety nets, and community development within the district over the past eight months.

“During the campaign, I promised that I would not be a representative who only holds meetings when an election is around the corner,” stated Hon. Keithson Charles. “We pride ourselves on transparency and accountability. The progress of Choiseul-Saltibus is a must, and we will continue to succeed by remaining disciplined in everything we build, delivering on our promises, and treating every Saint Lucian with dignity.”

The AGM featured a robust lineup of guest speakers, headlined by the Acting Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure, Hon. Shawn Edward. In a passionate address, the Acting Prime Minister praised the rich legacy of Choiseul and formally endorsed the exceptional representation being provided by Hon. Charles.

“Choiseul has a tradition to be proud of, and when you elected Keithson Charles, it was yet another reminder of the quality that resides in this community,” Acting Prime Minister Edward told the crowd. “He is a man who is grounded. He is a hard-working man. He is a committed man, and a very passionate Minister of Government. He drives through every nook and cranny of this constituency ensuring that he feels the pulse of his people, so that when he comes to Cabinet, he advocates fiercely on your behalf. I have absolute confidence in the representation that Keithson continues to provide.”

The event also featured powerful addresses of solidarity from Hon. Moses Jn Baptiste, Hon. Alva Baptiste, Hon. Emma Hippolyte, Hon. Danny Butcher, and SLP General Secretary Mr. Leo Clarke.

A major highlight of the afternoon was the presentation of the newly elected Choiseul-Saltibus Constituency Group Executive, who will spearhead the party’s local mobilization and community outreach efforts. The newly elected executive members are:

● Chairman: Cyril Edward

● Deputy Chairman: Wayne Charlie

● Secretary: Esther Theophane

● Assistant Secretary: Vincent Peter

● Treasurer: Shernika Francis

● P.R.O.: Leo St. Croix

● Mobilization Officer: Canis Richardson

● Women’s Officer: Daria Jn. Baptiste

● Youth Officer: Chris Pamphile

● Trustees: Wayne Winifred, Tyra Philip, Gregory Charles

The Parliamentary Representative on behalf of the Choiseul-Saltibus Constituency Group extends his deepest gratitude to the outgoing executive for their dedicated service, and thanks all constituents, volunteers, and well-wishers who contributed to a momentous and unifying AGM.

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
