At the Prime Minister’s final press conference on the 19th December, 2023, the Prime Minister Honorable Roosevelt Skerrit announced that a special prosecutor is to arrive in Dominica to prosecute the state’s case against Rob Snider Jr and Johnathan Lehrer who were jointly charged for the murders of Daniel Langlois and his partner Dominique Merchand.
Skerrit stated that with the special prosecutor he anticipates a greater possibility of success.
The Prime Minister commended the police for their progressive work done in investigating the matter and noted that he has every confidence in the justice system to achieve justice and he has not seen evidence of the contrary.
