Sandals denies multiple allegations of sexual assaults on visitors at its Caribbean resorts

NASSAU, Bahamas — As reports of multiple sexual assaults on visitors at its Caribbean resorts gain increased traction in US media, Sandals Resorts International (SRI) has denied all such allegations and said that claims of attempts to cover up these incidents are untrue.

SRI also said that it is ready to vigorously defend itself in court against these allegations, responding directly to the reports of a guest, Melissa Blayton, who appeared on Good Morning America on Monday morning, alleging that she was assaulted by a Sandals employee when she took up the offer for private and solo sailing lessons in Jamaica at the Sandals Ocho Rios property in 2017.
