The Portsmouth Secondary School boasts of the success of its Mentorship Program for fifth form students.
The program which has been going on for three years pairs students with a teacher who provides the students with motivation and encouragement throughout their time in fifth form.
Teachers are also expected to monitor the students’ performance and provide assistance where necessary. In many cases, the teacher/ mentor liaise with parents to ensure each fifth form student makes it through to graduation.
The program got on the way today with ‘Meet and Greet your Mentor’.
