The National Bank of Dominica Ltd. (NBD) officially celebrated the grand opening of its newest branch on Old Street – on Tuesday, April 22, 2025. The ribbon-cutting ceremony, held just outside the new location, marked a significant milestone in NBD’s ongoing mission to bring accessible, modern, and customer-focused banking solutions to the Dominican public.
In her remarks, Managing Director Mrs. Annette Severin-Lestrade reflected on NBD’s 47-year journey of growth, resilience, and dedication to service.
“This opening is significant because it comes at a special time in our journey. Last month, we proudly celebrated 47 years of dedicated service to this nation,” she stated. “This new Old Street Branch embodies everything that we believe in – intentional service, customer care, and purpose-driven leadership.”
The Old Street Branch is strategically located in the heart of Roseau, offering a modern, customer-friendly environment equipped with three convenient ATMs, energy-efficient systems, and a layout designed to enhance customer experience. From comfortable spaces to streamlined access to services, every detail was created with customers in mind.
“We have created a space that reflects the evolving needs of our customers: a modern, welcoming environment designed to deliver more efficient service, improved access, and a more personalized experience,” added Severin-Lestrade.
The event featured a formal blessing by Father Nigel Karam, recognition of the branch’s first customer, and lively entertainment with the presence of NBD’s beloved mascot, Tiko. The turnout included members of the Board of Directors, shareholders, customers, staff, and community partners – all coming together to commemorate the Bank’s continued evolution.

In line with the Bank’s commitment to transparency and customer care, NBD reminds the public that banking operations at the former Bay Front Branch concluded effective Thursday, April 17, 2025. However, ATM services will continue to be available at that location for customer convenience.
