President of Guyana, Irfaan Ali, today held bilateral discussions with Singapore’s Foreign Minister, Vivian Balakrishnan, aimed at advancing cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, both nations explored the establishment of a framework to strengthen collaboration in key areas including energy, climate initiatives, technical support for artificial intelligence and digitisation, as well as expanding opportunities in food security.
President Ali also encouraged Singapore to join the Global Biodiversity Alliance as part of wider international efforts to support environmental sustainability and biodiversity protection.
The discussions form part of ongoing efforts to deepen diplomatic and economic relations between Guyana and Singapore while promoting innovation, sustainability, and development cooperation.
