Representatives from Caribbean water utilities and leading European private sector companies came together at the Global Water Summit 2026 (#GWS2026) to strengthen partnerships and explore innovative solutions for the region’s water sector.
Strategic networking sessions and bilateral meetings focused on several pressing regional priorities, including climate resilience, wastewater management, and the growing role of artificial intelligence in water services.
Participants discussed how stronger international collaboration can help accelerate innovation, improve utility operations, and support the development of more sustainable and resilient water systems across the Caribbean.
Organizers noted that the engagements also created opportunities for future cooperation, investment, and long-term knowledge sharing between Caribbean and European stakeholders.
The initiative was supported by the European Union through the Global Gateway Investment Agenda and the Caribbean Cooperation Facility, with coordination provided by the Caribbean Water and Wastewater Association.
