Dennison ‘Dice’ Joseph, 9 time Calypso King failed to deliver his customary dynamic performance at the Calypso Monarch Show on Saturday much to the dismay of his fans. The entertainer performer forgot the lyrics of his song ‘Sorry for the World’ in the first round of competition.
Speaking to local media about what happened on stage, Dice said, “Never cry over spilled milk. I am a child of Jah. Even the downfall is part of Jah’s plan. No king has been under the amount of pressure I’ve been under.”
Dice said that he went blank and so just went with the flow. Even after the show he was still unable to remember the lyrics. He came back to deliver in the second round but it wasn’t enough to afford him a place in the top four.
However, Dice said that unlike others he accepts responsibility and takes the loss as a man. He doesn’t blame anyone for his mess up and concluded by saying, “I love my king this year, king Jaydee”.
