A team from the Ministry and the Minister of Agriculture Hon Roland Royer visited the North Agricultural region to meet with the farmers and farming groups to understand their approach to agriculture farming systems and most importantly the constraints and challenges hindering their production and output.

The team visited the several farms and met with groups within the region with a farmers meeting at the Veille Case Resource Centre. Farmers cited several challenges such as improved farm access, pest and disease control, farm labour and extension services within the North Agricultural administration offices.

Prime Minister and Parliamentary Representative for Vieille Case Roosevelt Skerrit addressed some of the concerns of farmers with special focus on DEXIA to purchase all commodities acceptable to the domestic and other markets and consuming what is grown and cultivated by themselves and their families for greater health and more buy-in into our Eat Local Live Long national campaign.
