The Sports Division Primary Schools Division One Netball Championship continued on Wednesday at Benjamin’s Park in Portsmouth with two exciting matches.
In the opening encounter, Roosevelt Douglas Primary School recorded a convincing 16-3 victory over Woodfordhill Primary School.
Leading the scoring for Roosevelt Douglas Primary were Merjhana Guiste with 9 goals from 17 attempts and Arij Jno Lewis with 6 goals from 19 attempts. Delana Africa scored all three goals for Woodfordhill Primary, converting 3 of her 8 attempts.
In the second match of the day, St. John’s Primary School defeated W.S. Stevens Primary School 12-5.
Casaina D’Haiti led the way for St. John’s with 7 goals from 16 attempts, while Kyedae Francis added 5 goals from 13 attempts. For W.S. Stevens Primary, Jenique Guiste scored all five of her team’s goals from 12 attempts.
