High-Level Dialogue: Implications of the Conflict in the Middle East on Agri-food Systems

Regional and national representatives from ministries of foreign affairs, agriculture, economy, energy and planning from Latin America and the Caribbean will participate in an analysis of the current international context and its impact on the region.

The recent events in the Persian Gulf have disrupted trade flows through the Strait of Hormuz, increasing volatility in energy and agricultural input prices.
