To provide customers with ample time to transition, the retirement of the service will be  implemented in phases. 

Beginning Monday, August 31, customers will no longer be able to send emails from their  cwdom.dm email accounts, and from Tuesday, September 15, incoming emails to those accounts  will also cease. 

The platform will be fully decommissioned on Wednesday, September 30. After this date,  customers will no longer be able to access their email accounts or retrieve any messages stored  on the platform. 

Francine Harve Jean-Jacques, Marketing & Communications Executive, Flow Dominica, said the  phased approach has been designed to ensure customers have every opportunity to make the  transition smoothly and with minimal disruption. 

“While we recognise that some customers may have used a cwdom.dm email address for many  years, the platform supporting the service has reached the end of its lifecycle and can no longer  support the modern standards expected of today’s email services,” she said.  

“Our priority is to ensure that customers still using the cwdom.dm domain have sufficient time,  clear guidance, and the support they need to transition their important information before the  service is retired. We encourage customers not to wait until the final deadline, but to begin the  process as soon as possible.”

Customers should begin preparing for the transition by establishing a new email account with an  alternative provider, downloading, or backing up important emails and files, and notifying personal  and business contacts of their new email address well before the service is retired. 

Harve Jean-Jacques said the retirement of the service reflects the significant evolution of the  digital communications landscape over the past decade. 

“Today, most consumers rely on globally available, cloud-based email platforms such as Gmail,  Outlook and Yahoo Mail, which offer enhanced security, larger storage capacities, seamless  access across multiple devices and continuous feature enhancements. As customer needs have  evolved, ISP-hosted email has become increasingly less relevant, and this transition allows us to  focus our investments on delivering the next-generation connectivity and digital services that  customers increasingly rely on every day,” she said.  

Flow will continue to engage customers throughout the transition period through direct emails,  SMS notifications, the company’s website, retail stores, and other customer touchpoints to ensure  they remain informed at every stage of the process. 

Customers who use a cwdom.dm email address for business purposes are encouraged to contact  their Liberty Business Account Manager to discuss alternative business email solutions.
