The Dominica State College will be staging the 10th edition of its well-known carnival event, DSC Mas Jamboree. Patrons of the event have come to expect top notch entertainment with a unique mix of pageantry and music from live bands. The five contestants who will be vying for the title of Miss DSC Mas Jamboree in order of their appearance are:
- Miss Aaliayh Alexander, sponsored by Convenience Plus Inc and De Construction Solutions;
- Miss Briana Laudat, sponsored by the Insurance Company of the West Indies;
- Miss Kayjah Charles, sponsored by Big Edge Financial Express;
- Miss Denisicia Laurent, sponsored by Do It Centre, Fine Foods Inc and KFC
- Miss Dainisha Eusebe, sponsored by Malcolm Stephen & Sons Ltd.
Other sponsors who have contributes to the young ladies’ participation include Guiyave Restaurant & Patisserie, A.C Shillingford (Promex Milk), NCCU, Petro Caribe, Posh Nail Spa and Spongy’s Taxi. Val Ferry, Escape Bar & Grill, Carlton Phillip Motor Pool, Cabrits Resort & Spa Kempinski and Pagua Bay have also sponsored the event.
This year, in addition to the competitive show which will showcase the young ladies, patrons can expect even more! The DSC Mas Jamboree will include a new feature this year, a male modelling competition. The gentlemen will appear in casual wear, carnival costume (provided by Hysteria Mas) and formal wear.
At the end of these two competitions, patrons will be treated to music from Triple Kay International, as well as from Marie Pascale, DJs Snow and Rio 767.
Definitely not a show to miss! The DSC Mas Jamboree will take place on Tuesday 18th February 2020 at the Carnival City. Tickets cost $30 (regular) and $40 (sitting) and are available for purchase at Bullseye Pharmacy and at the DSC Cashier’s Office.
