HUNTUMS GHUT, Tortola, VI – After checking with multiple sources, our news centre can now confirm that a Dominican native—between 30 and 40 years of age—Erran Charles of Horse Path is the man who was shot and died this evening Sunday, February 3, 2019, in Huntums Ghut on Tortola.
In addition, we can confirm that a 17-year-old boy is at Peebles Hospital, after also being shot at the same time. While information surrounding the shooting is unclear, it is believed that a group of men were playing Dominos close to the Huntums Ghut Basketball court while others were looking on, when a gunman opened fire.
It is believed also that Mr Charles was one of many onlookers. We will bring more accurate details as they become available.
