It’s with profound sadness we announce the death of Catherina Matilda Fontaine nee Alexander also known as Tiase age 96 of Hagley Grand Bay who resided in London England.
She died peacefully at her home at Hagley Grand Bay on the 6th September 2021.
She had 3 Daughters: Ivonia George Benoit in Dominica; Mary Rennette Fontaine-Richards in London and Julie Fontaine deceased
Sons: Alvin Alexander better known as Shass in St Thomas; Ivon George better known as Sa Douce in Dominica, John Fontaine and Jules Fontaine in London and Edmund Fontaine in the States.
29 Grandchildren: Fernandel, Tina, Alicia, Brandan, Micah & Makayla in the States

Cathy and Buteson in Guadeloupe
Kester in St Martin
Clint, Gerone, Christina, Stephanie, Antoine, Tiffany, Estelle, Sean & Melissa in London

6 Daughters-in-law: Valda, Beverley, Linda, Pamela, Daphane and Sonia
13 Nieces including Karina, Catherine and Millicent
12 Nephews including Tony, Ustus, Ronnie, Bonifase, Ronard, Simon, and Pierre
The Blaize family including Aunty Gigit, The Alexander family, the Thomas family and the Fontaine family both in Bagatelle, Grand Bay and abroad.
Her special friends in London including: Herminia, Ferdi, Rose & family and several others too numerous to mention.
Friends and neighbours including ET, Mable, Vanya, Kenny, Morrisa and Anne Marie and many others too numerous to mention
Viewing of the body of the late Catherina Fontaine will be on Wednesday 22nd September at 2.30pm with the funeral Mass at 3pm at the Grand Bay Catholic Sacred Space followed by internment at the Grand Bay Catholic Cemetery.
Funeral arrangement entrusted to Gentle Rest Funeral Service.
