We announce the passing of Mrs. Philomena Theresa Francis (née LeBlanc), lovingly known as “Teacher Sister”. She departed this life peacefully at her residence in Soufriere on Thursday, September 18th, 2025, at the blessed age of 94 years.

She leaves to mourn:

Daughters: Diana Francis, Marvlyn Austrie and Erin Sanderson

Sons in Law: Leslie Austrie and Abdulaziz Sanderson

Grandchildren: Kelby, Dion and Alana Austrie, Jeanna and Rennae Francis, Imanuel and Elijah Antoine and Raadhiyah Sanderson

Grandsons In Law: Joshua Ononuju and Lennox James

Great grandchildren: Lucas and Logan James and Raegan Ononuju

Goddaughters: Judith Rolle, Judith Ettiene and Sister Lauren Royer

Sister-in-Law: Stella LeBlanc

Nieces: Rosillia, Anthea, Caesarina, Lydia, Fermilia, Francilia, Verdan, Patricia, Judith, Mariah, Jeanette, Paula, Laura and Charlese

The body of the late Mrs. Philomena Theresa Francis will be transported by Lynhurst Funeral Home on Friday October 3rd for the viewing at 2:00 pm and funeral service at 2:30 pm at the Soufriere Roman Catholic Church, followed by Interment at the Soufriere Catholic Cemetery.

Her family wishes to express gratitude to all those who showed love and concern throughout her long life and all those who have given love and support since her passing. May memories of her loving and caring heart remain with us forever. May she rest in eternal peace in the company of those gone before her, husband Hobson Francis, daughter Dr. Helen Francis-Seaman and brothers Lipson and Wyllis Le Blanc.
