Manager of the Dominica Community Tourism Association Incorporated (DCTAI), Lester Riviere, issued a call to local businesses to join the DCTAI in its groundbreaking initiative and receive publicity for their businesses.
Riviere said that the business community must embrace this opportunity to provide financial or otherwise contributions to the different communities to enable them to participate in the DCTAI Community Tourism Competition. He says the businesses may even go further and adopt the community of their choice and brand that community with the business name or business product.
Riviere made these comments at the official launch of the Community Tourism Enhancement Competition on Wednesday.
The competition is in its second year and will focus on the South Western zone including Eggleston/Giraudel Layou/Mero/Salisbury

Laudat/Wotten WavenThe competition focuses on cleanliness, landscaping, hospitality (including the formation of a flagship event) and community involvement.
Shirley Alexander of the Morne Anglais Community Tourism Committee said that the sister villages of Eggleston/ Giraudel are thrilled to partake in the competition and will once again showcase their breathtaking flora and fauna that they are known for.
