Happi Bath Estate Football Club continues to be one of the most exemplary clubs on and off the field. The club on May 20, 2021 made a donation of brand new football uniforms to the Roseau Primary School, becoming the official sponsors of the football team.
Club Manager Michael Joseph said that the club decided to make the donation after communications with the coach and board members unanimously agreed.
He said, “We are pleased to sponsor the Roseau Primary School Football Team in this tangible way. We have a uniform contract with Admiral Sports and decided to use our contact to assist the school”.
Joseph said that the club has decided to go a step further and give uniform scholarships to two children come September.
“We realize that times are difficult for everyone but as responsible members of the community, we are willing to make this sacrifice so that two parents can have things a little easier for them, knowing that they do not have to think about buying uniforms in September”, he added.
Joseph said that this is not the first time Bath Estate FC has been involved in activities that contribute to the development of their community.
Club member and national player Kelrick Walters addressed the players reminding them that they need to be disciplined and work hard to achieve their dreams. He said to them that sports and education go hand in hand. He also encouraged them to demonstrate love and respect for their teammates and their teachers.
Presently, Bath Estate FC is in second place in the DFA Premier League and according to Joseph the goal is to win that title this year. Bath Estate has held that title numerous times and remains the only team to have done so for three consecutive years.
