Female Cyclist Encourages Women Participation In The Sport; President Issues Call For Younger Cyclists

May Ettiene, stood out as the lone female cyclist on the road on Sunday in the first race of the Dominica Cycling Association(DCA).

While Ettiene was not a competitor, Ettiene was on the road to encourage other women to participate in the sport.

Ettiene who is visiting from England, says that cycling is a good sport to maintain fitness.

She said, “I’m not racing. Hopefully, I’ll be able to encourage other women to get on their bikes in the future”.

Ettiene completed her two rounds with little difficulty.

Meanwhile, president of the DCA continued to issue calls for more clubs to become part of the DCA especially young riders. He promised the support of the DCA in whatever way persons require it to form their clubs.
