A tropical wave together with the presence of an upper level trough is projected to continue to generate an increase in cloudiness, shower and thunderstorm activity which could be heavy at times and gusty winds across Dominica during the next 24 hours. As a result, the flood warning for Dominica has been extended to 6am tomorrow morning.

A flood warning means that flooding is already occurring or expected during the stated period. 

People in areas prone to flooding, landslides and falling rocks should exercise caution throughout tonight and the rest of the week as the area is projected to remain moist and unstable. 

Moderate to rough seas are expected during the next 12 to 18 hours with wave heights peaking near 10.0ft. A Small Craft Warning is in effect for above normal seas. Small craft operators, particularly on the east coast, are advised to exercise extreme caution. Sea bathers should stay out of the water. A relative improvement in sea conditions together with a decrease in wind speeds can be expected by tomorrow afternoon.
