The disaster team at the Portsmouth Secondary School has continued its education efforts inspite of limitations brought on by the dreadful COVID-19 pandemic.
The team continues to work to remind students, staff and the general public about the hurricane season. Last week, the team, led by teacher and president, Deania Laudat, met via Google Meet to discuss the way forward.
According to Laudat, “Knowledge is power. Knowing what to do can help to reduce casualties caused by storms and help to minimize damage to property. We try our best to instill in the minds of our staff and students the best practices in case of any emergency. We have spoken to them on many occasions about storms. This video serves as a gentle reminder as we prepare to face the hurricane season. We are PSS strong and we continue to pray for nothing but the best, but remain informed and prepared for the worse”.
A Video was produced to circulate on various media and flyers were made to disseminate among the student population and the public by extension.
