According to Prime Minister, Hon. Roosevelt Skerrit, the Government is aware of the situation where nationals who are employed on cruise lines are stuck and unable to return home.

The Prime Minister said that while they are aware of the situation, the cruise ships have not taken any decision as yet. Presently, the Government is in talks with one such cruise line as to the possibility of bringing in the Dominican  employees.

Reports surfaced last week of many nationals who work on cruise ships  wanting to return home and not being able to do so.

The Prime Minister said that in the event they are able to return, they must go through quarantine requirements.
