On Saturday, the Dominica Cancer Society hosted its Men’s Health Forum at the Public Service Union building. The focus of the forum was prostate cancer. General Surgeon Dr. Theodore Thomas and Neurologist Dr. Golnaz Naderkhani were the main speakers.

The doctors encouraged men to get themselves screened for Prostate Cancer. The Cancer Society has partnered with a local doctor to have free checks done and also with Lafalaise Medical Laboratory who have agreed to a 20% discount on the Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) blood test.

The Society has deemed September as Prostate Awareness month.
