Two Dominicans are Among the US Embassy Winners of its Caribbean Startup Summit Competition

Entrepreneurs around the Caribbean were given an opportunity to attend TEN Habitat’s Caribbean Startup Summit in Barbados on May 24 and 25. This is an event built to inspire dreamers and empower ideas. It brings together a global team of startup experts, founders and entrepreneur resource provider to help empower startups in the region.

All this is in an effort in promoting sustainable regional economic growth by the U.S Government. Avena Prince and Lien Philogene-Norville were the two winners from Dominica. Other winners came from Antigua, Barbados, Grenada, St. Kitts & Nevis and St. Vincent & the Grenadines.

Both ladies were happy to be at the summit and look forward to transferring whatever was learned with entrepreneurs in Dominica. The participant’s airfare, hotel accommodation, and transportation will be taken care of by the U.S Embassy in Bridgetown.
