Roseau, Dominica: Wins for Barbados and St Vincent in the evening session on Day 4 of the OCES/ECCB International netball series at Windsor Park on Wednesday.
Barbados picked up their 2nd win of the day, and 4th overall as they crushed the host country Dominica.
Dominica came into the match having lost their first two matches by heavy defeats, and the miserable run continued as Barbados ran riot at Windsor Park Wednesday night.
The Bajan’s put the game out of reach as early as the first quarter, as they took an 18-6 lead.
Goal shoot Faye Agard and goal attack Latonia Blackman worked in tandem as they both shot 9 from 11 from the field for Barbados.
The 2nd quarter belonged to Agard as she racked up 13 points to give Barbados the 35-11 lead at half time. Agard took a breather in the second half but Jada Smith continued the onslaught for Barbados she scored 13 points in the 3rd quarter as Barbados extended their lead to 50-20 heading into the 4th quarter.
The Barbados defense was relentless as they forced the Dominican team into a number of errors,

and held them to just a total of 12 shots in the 3rd period. The 4th quarter was more of the same, as Barbados coasted easily to the 67-27 win.
Latonia Blackman scored 26 from 29 attempts, Faye Agard 22 from 26 attempts and Jada Smith 19 from 31 attempts for Barbados.
Overall Barbados shot 77.9 percent from the field. For Dominica Celena Langlais converted on 18 of her 21 attempts, Kyla Winston 6 from 18 and Lisa James 1 from 1.
The win has pushed Barbados to the top of the point standings with 20 points.
Meantime St Vincent and the Grenadines kept pace with the tournament leaders as they registered their 3rd straight win in the tournament as well.
Mary-Ann Frederick the tournament’s leading scorer recorded another big night leading St Vincent to the win.
Frederick who started off the tournament with back to back 50 point performances put up 40 as St Vincent kept their unbeaten streak alive.
The scores were levelled at 8 at the end of the first quarter, before Frederick took control in the second period to give St Vincent the 7 point lead at half time.
Frederick scored 19 from 23 attempts as St Vincent went into the break with a 21-14 lead.
Reyana Regis who is also enjoying a good tournament for Antigua, shot 85 percent from the field to end the half with 9 points from 13 attempts.
Frederick again exercised her dominance in the 3rd quarter scoring 10 points and St Vincent took a 12 point cushion into the 4th quarter with a lead of 35-23.
St Vincent eventually took the match 47-33. Mary-Ann Frederick led all scorers with 40 points from 48 attempts while Shellisa Davis added 7 from 17 attempts.
Reyana Regis made 24 from 28 and Amey Lake 9 from 15 for Antigua. The win moves St Vincent to 15 points with a game in hand on Barbados.
Meantime for Antigua they have now dropped 3 straight games since winning their opening match of the tournament. The tournament continues Thursday evening with a top of the table
clash between St Vincent and the Grenadines and Barbados.
That game tips off at 6:30pm. At 6pm Dominica will take on St Lucia. And 7:30pm Antigua and Barbuda will take on St Kitts and Nevis.
