Water’s Edge is set to become a firm favourite

Sunday January 23rd 2022 commemorated the grand opening of the new premium, health focused, casual dining establishment at Borough Square, Portsmouth. What was once known as Douglas Snackette is now Water’s Edge.

Among those present was the Parliamentary Representative for the Portsmouth Constituency and Minister of Trade, Commerce, Entrepreneurship, , Hon. Ian Douglas; Dr. Eisenhower Douglas, company secretary for RBD Ltd; Mrs. Eleanor Lambert, Water’s Edge Board Holder; Reverend Herman Sharplis, Parish Priest for St. Andrew Parish; Joanne Finn Morgan , Specialist teacher in Food Nutrition and Health. The Master of Ceremonies was Ms.Edwards.

After opening prayer and worship led by Reverend Sharplis, attendees were addressed on a brief history of Portsmouth and contributions of the Douglas Family by Mrs. Lambert.

In addition, those present got to hear from Mrs. Morgan about the importance of proper nutrition. In a tone of optimism she highlighted that ‘Water’s Edge represents the Douglas Family values and all the things they love… The Water’s Edge is set to become a firm favorite’.

Mrs. Cheryl Lawrence delivered the keynote address in which she commended the Projects team and family for their contributions. Mrs. Lawrence highlighted that Water’s Edge aim is to consider the nutrient value of our food’.

Mrs. Kerry Breedy, the mayor of Portsmouth, shared brief congratulatory remarks on the opening of Water’s Edge.

Addresses were made by Hon. Ian Douglas and Dr. Eisenhower Douglas, who were elated to share in the growth of their family’s legacy with this new venture.

Attendees also got the opportunity to sample delicacies that will be offered at Water’s Edge and a musical performance by Kerdeje Walters.
