Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the post of Monitoring & Evaluation Officer, Ministry of Planning, Economic Development, Climate Resilience, Sustainable Development and Renewable Energy.
The candidate should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management or related field, with a minimum of 3 years practical experience, and will be expected to:
• Undertake scheduled reviews based on site visits of the implementation of 3 Enhanced Direct Access Projects;
• Maintain regular and focused communication with line ministries, project managers, public/private sector representatives, civil society and other relevant agencies for successful project implementation;
• Utilize project management applications to monitor project schedules and project finances, prepare reports and communicate information based on the project log frame, consistent with the donor requirements;
• Ensure successful implementation of three projects by December 2022;
• Document lessons learned to facilitate learning, support accountability and influence future project design and overall management;
• Coordinate regular sectoral and cross sectoral project review meetings and stakeholder consultations;
• Participate in, and provide technical support in the conduct of various types of national assessments and analysis;
• Develop the monitoring and evaluation frameworks for project evaluation and audits of all
projects under the relevant component of the Green Climate Fund – Enhanced Direct Access programme ;
• Perform other duties related to the successful implementation of the project as required.
The selected candidate must be a proficient user of project management software applications; and
have experience in monitoring and evaluation of donor funded projects. The period of engagement shall be for 6 months.
