UWP Declares Rosana Emmanuel as the Candidate for Petite Savanne

On Friday, May 10th, 2019 all roads led to Bellevue Chopin for the official declaration of Rosana Emmanuel. Ms Emmanuel holds a Bachelor’s degree with double majors in International Business and Management from Northwood University and a Master of Public Health degree with a concentration in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention. She has been employed at Ross University for the past eleven and a half years and held the position of Director for Clinical and Community Affairs.

Emmanuel is running under the theme ‘Livelihood Restoration for Love of Country’. She is committed to the following eight areas:

1. The restoration of livelihood for the Petite Savanne constituency
2. Inspiring hope among the people especially the youth who are tomorrow’s leaders and the elderly who have become disillusioned and cynical
3. Preserving the dignity of the elderly and vulnerable population by ensuring that their basic needs are adequately met
4. Stimulating growth in the constituency to facilitate financial independence
5. Enhancing social programs and improving the health of the community
6. Empowering individuals and strengthening the bonds of family and community
7. Strengthening the governance structures of government programs and systems
8. Contributing to the overall economic and social development of Dominica

The Petite Savanne constituency is presently held by Dr. Kenneth Darroux of the DLP who will be replaced by Marva Williams, acting director of the Dominica Festivals Commission for the next general election.
