We are saddened to announce the death of 96 year old Magdaline “Mado” Ponponne of La Plaine who died at her residence on August 28th, 2025.
She has left to mourn:
Daughters: Queentine and Sylvia
Sons: Mino, Star, Hails, Shine, Bruney and Oliver
Brothers: John Baptiste and Freddy
Sisters: Agnes, Dorothy, Marie and Isabella
Grandchildren: Shernita, Delia, Natasha, Cia, Nia, Shemiah, Lisa, Kaylon, Romano, Fernella and Stacy
Great grandchildren: Saige, Shereece, Sherayne, D’arge, Derwin, Nylah, Nyane, Leah, Reah, Curdian, Curyan, Jai’da, Jai’Nya, Romae, Jaylen, and Joy
Nieces and Nephews including: Uretha, Jefferson, Jonia, Clint, Shannon, Henrietta, Roslyn, Doris, Agnes, Agnita, Steve, Debbie, Johnny, Ivinia, Sandra, Jason, Anne and Angela
Godchildren: Clancy, Martin and Brother

The body of the late Magdaline “Mado” Ponponne will be transported by the North Eastern Funeral Association on Saturday, September 13th for the funeral service at the La Plaine Roman Catholic Church. Viewing will take place at 2:30 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 3:00 p.m.. Interment will take place at the La Plaine Roman Catholic Cemetery.
